2024: Following FINRA Arbitration Award, Griffin Secures Superior Court Judgment of $1,064,534 against Two So Cal Financial Advisors

In October 2024, Attorney Montgomery Griffin represented an aggrieved investor
before the California Superior Court for the County of Los Angeles in a case involving
two Southern California-based financial advisors who had been ordered to repay over
$1 million by a FINRA arbitration panel following an eight-day arbitration hearing
handled by a colleague based in Florida. The court matter was contested by a team of
lawyers representing the advisors. Following a series of hearings before the Honorable
Christopher K. Lui, the Court upheld the arbitration result in favor of Griffin’s client,
added interest, and further ordered the advisors “jointly and severally” responsible to
repay Griffin’s client daily interest of $204.16 until the amount of the judgement is paid
in full. The advisors thereafter filed an appeal with the California Court of Appeal, which
is pending at this time.
