Theodore S. Avery
Attorney at Law

Theodore S. Avery (“Theo”) has been providing contract services to the Law Offices of Montgomery G. Griffin and many of its clients since January of 2015. Theo shares Montgomery Griffin’s passion for leveraging hard work and thorough preparation to achieve results for individuals who have been wronged, particularly aggrieved investors, making him a quick and natural addition to the firm’s culture.

Theo is involved in many of the firm’s cases and brings exceptional legal knowledge and credentials to those matters, the extent of which is not often found with other plaintiff-side law firms that represent investors against Wall Street and registered investment advisory firms. Prior to working with our offices, Theo spent his first year of law school at the University of California, Davis School of Law, where he finished the year in the top five percent of his class. Theo then completed his legal education at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Law. There, Theo graduated Order of the Coif, an honor exclusive to the top ten percent of the graduating class. Theo received an offer of full-time employment from a major international law firm upon graduation but ultimately turned it down to pursue a work environment that matched his passions. Since graduating, Theo has sat for bar exams in four different jurisdictions—California, Florida, Louisiana, and Missouri—and passed each on the first attempt.
