Theodore S. Avery
Attorney at Law

Theodore (“Theo”) Avery has been working with the Law Offices of Montgomery G. Griffin and its clients since January of 2015. Through his work, Theo has been involved in all aspects of the firm’s practice. Theo shares Montgomery Griffin’s passion for leveraging hard work and thorough preparation to achieve results for individuals who have been wronged, particularly aggrieved investors, making him a quick and natural fit into the firm’s culture.

Theo brings exceptional legal knowledge and credentials to the firm, the extent of which are not often found with other plaintiff-side law firms that represent investors in FINRA arbitrations against Wall Street brokerages and other financial services firms.  Prior to working with our offices, Theo spent his first year of law school at the University of California, Davis School of Law, where he finished the year in the top five percent of his class. Theo then completed his legal education at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Law.  There, Theo graduated Order of the Coif, an honor exclusive to the top ten percent of the graduating class. Theo received an offer of full-time employment from a major international law firm upon graduation but ultimately turned it down to pursue a work environment that matched his passions. Since receiving his Juris Doctor from the UCLA School of Law, Theo has sat for bar exams in four different jurisdictions—California, Florida, Louisiana, and Missouri—and passed each on the first attempt.  He is licensed to practice law in all four states.
